Feb. 24, 2015

Okay,  I dont have tons of time because we are having a district bbq so this will be kind of short sorry!!

Laura is doing great! She called us on Saturday morning because she had overheard people talking at church about an activity at 12 that day. We called around and no one was answering but she insisted that she take us out for lunch and then try the church! We did and it was a relief society enrichment activity hahah she loved it!

Essence is doing fantastic! Her twin sister has recently opened up and makes sure that we are coming over when she will be home from work so she can be there for the lessons :) We took her and her sister and then one of their younger sisters Hannah to meet the Mormons last night and they loved it!

We have been teaching a 19 year old named Jesus.... yeah thats right.. Jesus.... Any way he has been taking lessons for the past couple years off and on. He has a baptismal date for this Saturday! He needs lots and lots of prayers! If you had asked me a couple days ago if he would go through with it I would have said no, but these last couple days he has really opened up to us!  We played soccer with him on Friday at the church with a couple of the spanish branch members.

(actually with a friend of one of our other investigators....*after we played we had a church tour with him and invited him to be baptized and he accepted right away!! He started crying and everything!!! His name is Arturo!!!!...pictured above)

Earlier that Friday we had had an amaazing lesson with Jesus. He is pretty reserved and has been super flaky and hasn't been interested in church or keeping commitments. But his roomate sat in on our lesson and he was amazing mom. He had all of these questions (which apparently he had tried to ask other missionaries and they couldnt answer them). But they were all about the Plan of Salvation which we had been planning to teach Jesus that day anyway! THEY BOTH CAME TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY! And afterwards Jesus texted saying he was so glad he had come and when was the next time we could see him...... oh my goodness. It has been an amazing week!
